East Hartford MLK Mural
RiseUP is partnering with the The Mayor's Office, Town of East Hartford, the East Hartford Black Caucus, and other community organizations to complete a large-scale mural on a prominent wall located on East River Drive.

The mural will depict messages and symbols of diversity, equity, and inclusion along with civil rights leaders. The mural is part of RiseUP's mural tour to have 39 MLK murals completed by MLK Day 2022.

This is your opportunity to have your voice heard in the mural!  We will review the survey results and work with the artists to complete a design that is representative of East Hartford's voice.

The mural in East Hartford will be unveiled in November and painted by artist Michael Rice and local East Hartford artists, Michaela Levesque and Tiyah Thompson.
