These awards recognize local public utilities, government agencies, regional commissions, nonprofits, and watershed organizations that have exceeded standards in implementing the five Adopt-A-Stream goals.

The goals of Georgia Adopt-A-Stream are

Increase public awareness of the State’s nonpoint source pollution and water quality issues.
Collect quality baseline water quality data.
Gather observations.
Encourage partnerships between citizens and their local government
Provide citizens with the tools and training to evaluate and protect their local waterways

Please complete a narrative describing how your program met the five goals of Adopt-A-Stream. Your narrative must not exceed 1500 words in length. All answers should reflect the appropriate calendar year of the award. Please send supporting materials (promotional materials, training materials, newspaper clipping, etc.) to AAS@dnr.ga.gov
