Application for Summer Festival First Aid Provider 2020
We would not feel right if you were not made aware at the outset that we find ourselves having to collect an £80 DEPOSIT (https://www.intothewildgathering.com/summer-deposits-payments) before we can consider your application for a volunteer position at any of our events. This is due to people making commitments they cannot fulfill.

If your application is not accepted, your deposit will be refunded immediately. If you give four full weeks notice, your deposit will be returned. If you find yourself unable to keep your promise after that grace period, (due to illness, change of plans, etc.) you must find a replacement for your position or your deposit will not be refunded. We will return your deposits within 21 business days following completion of the festival.

First Aid Providers are integral to supporting the well being of the festival community. You'll be nestled in the heart of the festival, working alongside a very friendly and supportive welfare crew.

You'll need good spoken English, first aid training and experience applying this in a practical setting. You'll need to be committed to role, competent and able to stay calm if others are in distress.

Training requirements required
* A current certificate in first-aid competency, issued by an organisation that meets the HSE guidelines on first aid training (see http://www.hse.gov.uk/firstaid/first-aid-training.htm);
* The ability to recognise and manage common conditions;
* Competence in the use of Automated External Defibrillators (AED) safe manual handling of patients;
* Evidence of Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)
* Evidence of training in the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults.

If you do not fit all of these requirements, please apply and detail what you have.

In exchange for 18 hours of your time during the festival, we offer a free ticket and will provide all your meals. You'd need to be on site by 3pm on Thursday, 27 August.

We also welcome anyone willing to work set up and/or set down only—seeing to any first aid needs of our decor and site crews. Please write to info@in2wild.com

To apply, please fill in the form. Short answers are best.
