Information for Research Participation

Dear parents and guardians,

You are invited to participate in a research study focusing on children of preschool age with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. This study is conducted as part of a Master's Thesis in Special Education and aims to explore your views and experiences regarding your children's life skills and independence skills.

Participation involves completing an anonymous open-ended form. All information is kept confidential, and anonymity is assured — unless you wish to provide your name.

The form you will complete consists of open-ended questions, allowing you to share your thoughts, experiences, and opinions in your own words, without restrictions. There are no right or wrong answers — our goal is to understand your personal perspective and better grasp the needs and priorities of your family.

You are free to answer all or as many questions as you wish, taking as much time as you need to describe what you consider important

Your participation is:

  • Completely voluntary
  • Withdrawable at any time, without any consequences or the need for explanation, by removing your responses.
  • Anonymous (unless you voluntarily provide your name)
  • At no cost to you

Your contribution is extremely valuable, as it can aid in a better understanding of the challenges and perspectives that families face in fostering independent living for their children in the future.

I warmly thank you for your time and for choosing to contribute to this study.

Respectfully,
Fanou Electra
Master’s Student in Special Education
