Walk Bike Cupertino advocates for safe and enjoyable walking and cycling
opportunities for everyone in our community, regardless of age or ability. We work with the City of Cupertino and
other community organizations to improve the city’s walking and cycling
infrastructure and policies and promote walking and cycling,
especially for students. Since our inception in 2014, we have been
instrumental in helping to create many improvements such as a 5-yr Bike
Ped Plan for the city, Regnart Creek Trail, the Linda Vista trail, the
protected bike lanes on McClellan Road, the Dogs Off Leash Areas (DOLAs)
in several parks, and more.
There are three Youth Advisory Board positions open this year for students from local High Schools. The Youth Advisory Board
member will have broad discretion on how they want to get involved and
will work with other board members to identify activities they are
interested in doing. For example, they can volunteer at WBC events like
manning our Bike Fest booth or doing helmet fittings and giving away
bike helmets, they can assist with our outreach efforts through our
website, newsletter and social media channels, or they can help to
organize community support and advocacy for walking and biking policies
and infrastructure such as protected bike lanes near schools, the
proposed Carmen Bridge and more. They can even create their own project
to promote walking and biking in the city. The board position term ends
by mutual decision when the student leaves for college or when they no
longer have time to commit to the board activities.
Please fill out the following form by August 30, 2025 to apply for a Youth Advisory Board Member position with Walk Bike Cupertino. If you have any questions, please visit https://walkbikecupertino.org/ or
