Launched in 2016, the Craft Brewers Powwow was established to help boost South Africa’s burgeoning beer culture. The conference has hosted a number of high-profile speakers from around the world, as well as local experts giving an African perspective on beer innovations and trends. The expo showcases innovative products from local companies alongside major international suppliers.

It is also held in conjunction with the African Beer Cup, the biggest beer competition in Africa, attracting more than 250 entries from across the continent. Following five successful editions of the conference, it is time to expand, and progress is only possible with change. So we are bringing new ideas, new concepts and expanding our team to include South Africa’s premier beer writer and Africa’s first Advanced Cicerone, Lucy Corne.
