2020 Coronavirus Opt-Out

The global coronavirus pandemic, and the resulting need for social distancing, stay at home orders, and other restrictions in activity have forced STSLL to delay the start of the regular baseball season. The delays resulting from the state of emergency will delay the start of baseball activity until no earlier than June 1, 2020, and the start of regular season games have yet to be determined. Little League has cancelled the World Series, and the associated state and regional tournaments. We are consulting with the other leagues in District 14 to determine whether a district tournament can be held.

STSLL recognizes that the scheduling changes may not work for all families, and other concerns may arise as the result of the pandemic related delays. For those players who wish to opt out of playing in the 2020 season, STSLL will provide registration refunds consistent with the following policy:

STSLL will refund, in full, registration and fund raiser buyout fees, less incurred expenses and administrative fees. Expenses and administrative fees include credit card transaction fees, Sports Connect processing fees (for online registration), and late fees. Refund checks will be mailed to the address listed on the player’s registration form.

STSLL will gladly accept any refund waivers as a donation to the league. In anticipation of a normal season, the league has already incurred expenses for Little League fees, insurance, field preparation and maintenance, none of which are refundable. Given the unforeseen circumstances of this year, any donation will be greatly appreciated.

Refund and/or donation requests must be made by completing the form below no later than May 15th. Please use this single form for all players that you registered. If you registered a single player, please complete "Player 1" if you registered 2 players, please complete "Player 1" and "Player 2", etc.

Final determination on the status of the 2020 season will be made on or before June 1st. Should the season ultimately be cancelled, refund requests will be accepted at that time.
