Faith, Fathers and Fishing is a fun day on the Wando River. The fishing is followed by an all you can eat fish fry and lesson from Dr. Koch as well as some good old-fashioned bragging. All Christ Church members are invited to participate no matter the experience and those without a boat will be placed on one, depending on availability! There is no cost for this fun day, but there will be a donation bucket at the fish fry to help offset the cost of the food. This is sponsored by the Men of Christ Church as a way to celebrate all fathers as well as the many blessings our families bring to our lives. Come out and enjoy good fishing (we hope), great food, meet some new people, and spend quality time with your loved ones.

Fishing: 7:30 am – 3:30 pm (anywhere on the Wando River)
Fish Fry: 4:30 pm- 6:30 pm

Cost: Free, but we will take donations to offset the cost of the food.

Fishing will take place on a boat in the Wando River
Fish fry will take place at a private residence in Dunes West

Rules:
All participants 16 and over must possess a valid SC Fishing License and Salt Water Stamp Credentials.
We will work on an honor System on what you catch. Species are Trout, Red Fish, Flounder, Black Drum and Whiting. NO SHARKS. Simply record what time you catch, length (measure from front of Jaw to squeezed Tail end) and take a picture if you want. You will be able to post your catches on the “bragging board” at the fish fry.
Each Boat is responsible for their own bait, poles and tackle. Let us know if you need help with any tackle and it will be provided.
This is not a tournament, but just a simple get together for anybody @ Christ Church who may want to go fishing for a day. We are fishing in any part of the Wando River since the gathering place at the end of the day is located approximately a mile up the Wando past the new bridge. There will be sufficient dockage for getting to the Fish Fry that starts at 4:30 pm. The dock is across from Guerin’s Bridge Creek and there will be Banner or Flag posted on the dock and balloons tied to indicate the dock location. You can also drive to the fish fry in Dunes West.  Notification must be given by those who are driving prior to Fishing Day so a pass can be established to gain entry into the subdivision.
