Library investigations about primary sources, brainstorm about related environmental/ethical consequences and think about what kind of evidence might exist to help make a case, then explore existing primary sources with an eye toward confirming their guesses or leading them to an alternate argument.  I envision them doing this at the tables in Amargosa.
