The Lighthouse is a sober house created to promote a safe, secure, supportive, sober environment for residents. This programming agreement was established to provide structure and support during early recovery. This is a clean and sober home – drug and alcohol use are strictly prohibited. Any violation of this rule will cause immediate discharge. This is non-negotiable. If you become aware that another resident is using it, it is your responsibility to notify the house manager immediately. Hiding information like this is grounds for discharge.

All potential residents must have attained a minimum of (28) days clean and sober prior to admission.
There is a six-month commitment to live at The Lighthouse with a 30-day notice to vacate.
Program fee for residency is $650 per month. A $300.00 programming deposit will be required prior to admission. Fees are due by the 5th of the month at the latest. The inability to pay should be discussed with Rick, the owner, and a plan should be put in place to get monthly programming fees up to date.
CURFEW IS AT 11:00PM on weeknights and 1:00AM on Friday and Saturday, UNLESS OTHERWISE DESIGNATED. There is a two-week restriction period if entering from inpatient treatment, jail or prison.
Attendance at the weekly House meeting, weekly Lighthouse Recovery meeting, weekly church attendance and weekly mentoring meeting are mandatory. Missing any of these meetings defeats the purpose of the Lighthouse and becomes grounds for a transfer of care (discharge).
The Lighthouse reserves the right to conduct random, UA, breathalyzer, and unannounced room inspection. Discovery of illicit substances or contraband will result in immediate discharge and the filing of police reports.
CONTRABAND: contraband items include, but are not limited to drugs, drug paraphernalia, alcohol, weapons of any kind (guns, knives, bows, etc.), pornographic material (Pictures, magazines, videos) on paper, video, or electronic devices/phones, sexually explicit or drug-related material (clothing, pictures, etc.), and any material that is rude or offensive, are NOT allowed.
An environment to support recovery will always be maintained in a safe, peaceful manner. Prayer or meditation should be practiced daily.
Disruptive behavior is not tolerated. Any behavior which is deemed by your housemates to be detrimental to the serenity and recovery of any resident is strictly forbidden. These acts include, but are not limited to verbal threats, sexual harassment, physical violence, destruction of property and/ or intimidation in any manner. Any such acts are grounds for discharge.
Good relations are to be maintained with our neighbors. Please conduct yourself accordingly and familiarize yourself with property boundaries. Any potential disputes should be immediately reported to staff. Do not enter the neighbor’s property.
Theft is not tolerated. This offense will result in immediate discharge.
The Lighthouse is not responsible for lost or stolen property. If you have anything of significant value, do not keep it here (electronics, jewelry, excess cash, etc.).
Smoking/vaping is permitted in designated areas only. Smoking/vaping is not allowed in any indoor areas. Do not leave cigarettes/e-cigarettes unattended. Dispose of your ash and butts in the disposal cans/ ashtrays provided. Violation of this rule may result in immediate discharge.
Personal items left by discharged residents will be held for maximum of (7) days then donated to a local thrift store. Residents are responsible for coordinating with management in advance for the pick-up of their personal belongings.
Any household items that are broken or damaged by a resident must be replaced. Repairs to building structures, equipment or appliances must be done by a professional that has been authorized by The Lighthouse staff and paid for by the resident.
No outside furniture is to be brought in or stored at The Lighthouse without prior approval from The Lighthouse owner. You must have permission from Rick to move the furniture.
VISITING: Guests must be approved by the Executive Director or Director of Admissions and are permitted in common areas only (kitchen, living room, dining room, outdoors). If you have children visiting you, you are solely responsible for their safety. No overnights, except children when approved.
VEHICLES: vehicles must be functional, registered and insured. Park vehicles in designated areas only. Working on vehicles on the property or on the street is not allowed.
Residents are responsible for the purchase and preparation of their own snacks and meals. Label your food and drink. If it is not yours, do not eat it!!
Residents are responsible for the storage and administration of their medication. Medications must be kept in personal belongings. Do not leave prescription medications out in the open, store them in the original container in a dresser drawer. You are expected to follow the doctor’s orders and take medications as prescribed. Residents must tell management about all medications prior to admission into The Lighthouse. Any new medications prescribed while residing at The Lighthouse must be approved by management.
Cleanliness starts with self: shower daily, brush your teeth and keep personal area clean and orderly. Beds are to be made daily and clothes put away. Do not hang anything on doors, furniture, or wall fixtures. Be considerate of roommates and others.
All residents must complete assigned chores daily. Chores are assigned by the house manager and may rotate weekly. If you are on an off-property pass or will not be at home, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR FINDING SOMEONE TO COVER YOUR CHORE.
The kitchen must be kept neat and clean. Clean up after yourself and put things back where they belong. Wash. dry and put away your dishes immediately and wipe down all surface areas.
Common areas (living room, dining room) should be kept neat and clean.
Reasonable noise levels will be maintained. No yelling, screaming or excessively loud music/ TV. When playing music in common areas, the type of music should be generally acceptable by others and not excessively loud. Televisions and other electronics are turned off one hour past curfew.
Laundry must not be left unattended and be prompt in removing your clothes from the washer/dryer as soon as it is finished. A laundry schedule sign-up sheet will be used as needed.
All visitors, and all items brought to The Lighthouse must be approved by management. The safety of our residence is always our top priority. Only approved persons and items are allowed on the property.
Notice to Vacate: This is not a lease; this is a Christian Recovery Home agreement. The owner of The Lighthouse reserves the right to ask residents to immediately vacate the property at any time and for any reason. Reasons include, but are not limited to, not paying monthly fees, using, or selling of mind-altering substances, not following program expectations, isolating, violence or threats towards self or others. Signing below you understand that you will have an hour to leave the premises if necessary. You may retrieve your belongings within one week of departure. The Lighthouse is not responsible for items left behind and they will be donated to a local charity if not retrieved within a week.
