Playful, Maker-Centered Learning in the Early Years

Thursday, Jan. 19, 5:30 - 7:30 pm (In-Person Event)  Briya Public Charter School 100 Gallatin St NE, Washington, DC 20011

Briya Public Charter School, DC-Project Zero (DCPZ), and DCPZ-Early Childhood (DCPZEC) are excited to announce an in-person workshop with Project Zero researcher Edward Clapp on Thursday evening, January 19. This interactive session will explore how playful, maker-centered learning empowers and elevates young children’s voices and ideas and supports them in becoming sensitive to design.

Briya Public Charter School at Ft. Totten will host the event. (As there are several Briya campuses, be sure to navigate to 100 Gallatin St NE, Washington, DC 20011). Limited parking is available in the school lot; otherwise there is street parking nearby. Briya is also located very near the Ft. Totten Metro Station (green, yellow, and red lines) via a walking path. The session will be simultaneously interpreted into Spanish.

This workshop has been designed for educators of children from ages 0-8 but is open to all.

Refreshments will be provided. Please bring a water bottle so that we can avoid plastic waste.
