At Shelton View we enjoy a strong and diverse teaching staff, which provides a variety of learning experiences and styles for the students. The Shelton View staff realizes that your child’s classroom placement is important to you and that all students have different learning styles and needs. We also know that children respond differently at home and at school to learning situations. In an effort to give you, the parents, an opportunity to make us aware of any exceptional needs or conditions that your child may have, we are providing this input form. Please note the following: 1) This information is NOT confidential and will be shared with our teaching faculty. 2) We DO NOT accept specific teacher requests or guarantee placement in a specific classroom model. Our goal is to ensure that all students have equal opportunity for a positive and strong educational experience. In determining placement, the grade level team and I consider your information, our observations at school, and issues of classroom balance. Completion of this form is optional. ALL STUDENTS will be given the same considerations when being placed in a class, whether or not parent input is given.
