Part 1 - Application for Enrollment in RTL
This is the application for Ready to Teach Lousiana, an alternate teaching preparation program that leads to certification as a teacher for non-education graduates. Candidates must have a minimum of a bachelor`s degree for entry to the program. Ready to Teach Louisiana is a BESE approved, certification only program.

FOLLOWING DIRECTIONS IS A MUST---PLEASE FOLLOW DIRECTIONS CAREFULLY FOR EACH QUESTION! Review your application with the checklist at the bottom before applying.

If a question has a black asterisk (*), it means the question has notes underneath the question you need to read to fill out the application correctly. 
  • Applications will be open January 1st through August 30th.
  • DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION SUBMISSIONS IS BY MIDNIGHT ON AUGUST 30th.
  • Enrollment letters will be sent out each Monday, beginning on January 8th, 2024.
  • Part 2 of the application will be sent to your email - you will be required to upload PDFs of your COLLEGE TRANSCRIPTS, DRIVER'S LICENSE, AND SOCIAL SECURITY CARD

This is NOT first come, first serve, so you can take your time to apply as long as it is before the deadline.
