Birmingham Mom Collective Contributor Application
Thank you for your interest in being a committed member of the BMC Contributor Team! This is a VOLUNTEER position, and we are looking for local moms who are passionate about our community and about connecting with other moms, and who are looking for a place to share parenting stories and solutions from March through August. *No blogging experience necessary*

If accepted as a contributor, you will be expected to write blog posts every other month by the 15th of that month PLUS an intro blog post. This is a total of 4 blog posts in the 6 month period, and one of these must be focused on a local topic. Please keep this in mind when applying so that you make sure you can keep this commitment.

Part of your commitment as a member of this team is supporting Birmingham Mom Collective and your fellow contributors through SOCIAL MEDIA! You will be required to share the blog posts you write on your Facebook page, and we will also expect social media engagement (such as likes/reactions, comments, shares) on the BMC Facebook and Instagram posts every day. Lastly, we ask all of our contributors to invite other moms they know to follow us on Facebook and Instagram as this helps the content our team works hard to produce get seen. (We will explain how to send invites.) Are you willing to engage in these ways? *
We love getting everyone together from time to time and love our contributor events and public events. But because of COVID-19, in-person events will be subject to the health and safety of all involved. Normally, we ask everyone to commit to coming to at least 2 contributor events during their term. This helps build team unity and helps us all connect with one another. Could you commit to coming to at least 2 Zoom meetings/in-person gatherings during your next 7 month term? *
Do you have any interest in being a content creator for BMC which will include taking photos that we can use on our social media accounts, creating video, Reels, etc? *

This sample should be in blog post format, meaning it is well organized and written in a "speaking" tone (not formal/reporting-style), and it should relate to motherhood or Birmingham or both!
