Application for Leadership Marshall County Class 29
Leadership Marshall County (LMC) connects leaders to our community by fostering leadership skills, professional and personal development, and a strong commitment to serve Marshall County.

LMC is designed to engage emerging and established leaders who are ready to generate meaningful social impact and contribute to the region’s growth and success.

Approximately 25-30 leaders are selected through our application process each year to represent the diversity of the Marshall County region.

The LMC Class 29 application process will begin rolling admissions on January 2, 2023.

Once enrollment for the class is full, we will have a waiting list for possible openings through August 2023.  Please be prompt in completing and submitting your application to ensure your admission to Class 29.

2. Cultivate and Network - You will cultivate a commitment to community service through networking with Marshall County Community leaders.

4. Identify - You will identify personal/professional leadership challenges and create an action plan to enhance skills sets.

5. Expand - You will expand your leadership potential through skill development sessions designed to strengthen management and supervisory competencies necessary for individual and collective success.

Selection Criteria

Please complete the following written application.  Once received, you will be contacted to have an on-line interview.

• Class members are chosen by a selection committee on their own merits according to the information provided on the application. LMC strives to provide a diverse and representative experience of the community we live in.  The committee will seek men and women from different career, educational, political, social and cultural backgrounds including business, labor, education, government, religion, the arts, social services, health care, and community based organizations.

Class participants have three basic similarities:
    • A demonstrated ability to achieve personal goals
    • A ready availability of time and resources to commit to community service
    • A demonstrated personal commitment to Marshall County and larger society.

• Application is open to persons living or working in the Marshall County area.  A maximum of 30 individuals are selected to participate in the program each year.  We do have a waitlist, though, in the event that someone needs to rescind their application or delay to another year.

• Nominees must have the full support of the organization or corporation they represent.  Individuals may also nominate themselves.

• Participants are required to attend at least 80 percent of the sessions.  Absences or lack of participation may result in participants being asked to leave the program or make up absences the following year.  The 1-day introductory retreat class on Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2023 from 8AM to 5PM is mandatory.

When we receive more applications than there are spaces available in the class, candidates will be placed on a wait list and be given the opportunity to carry forward their application into the following year as part of the early applications.
