Taga Tataga' Digital Escape Room Refuse Rethink ROT
Buenas yan Hafa Adai!  Guahu si Taga Tataga' and I am a Bluespine Unicornfish or Naso unicornis (my scientific name).    Will you help me protect my Ocean home by practicing the 6R's?  You learned about Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle from my best friend Ha'ani Halu'u and now you will find out about the newer 3 R's that aren't found in a song made by Jack Johnson.  REFUSE, RETHINK, and ROT...

I'm not a unicorn.  I'm a fish, but I have a horn like a unicorn so I am a Unicornfish.  :)
My Awesome Ocean Guardian Friends from 5 Guam Department of Education High Schools and FDMS made these amazing slides to help you learn about the other 3 R's REFUSE, RETHINK, and ROT.  There are 6 locks to break open to Escape from this Digital Escape Room.  Are YOU up to the challenge?
That's me and a cartoon picture of me.  There are other unicornfish around Guam.  You may have seen a Hangon or orangespine unicornfish but they don't have a cool horn like I do.
Northern Guam's watershed is 1 HUGE one called the Northern Guam Lens Aquifer and it is UNDERGROUND.  The underground aquifer on Guam provides drinking water to 80% of the entire island.  That's why it's important not to dump chemicals, not to have illegal dumpsites, and not to litter.   Our underground aquifer is connected to the salty ocean water but because of density, our source of fresh water floats delicately on top.  Beautiful beach in Northern Guam...
RIDGE TO REEF---  From the top of the mountain ridges of Guam, down the rivers and in between all the way down to the coral reefs, is all connected.  These are the Southern Guam watersheds.  Did you know that no matter where you are on Guam, that you are 5 miles or less away from the ocean?     Beautiful coastline in volcanic Southern Guam (Humatak)--  Isn't that Fouha Rock, where CHamoru legends say Human life first began?
We Need to Protect our Watersheds and my Ocean Home!  We need YOUR HELP!!
Please help our watersheds and our Ocean.  They need us now more than ever!
