My 1st Choice would be to help with... *

Parking Lot - Assist in directing caregivers, guests & volunteers where to park.

Doorman - Greet our guests as they enter the building. Required to wear a suit & tie or tux.

Guest Registration - Check in guests and give out name tags.

Paparazzi - Line up, cheer on, encourage & take pictures of our guests arriving on the red carpet! It will be hot outside so you may want to bring your own water bottle although water will be available. Remember to wear sunscreen. Young children may not be suitable for this area as there are long periods of standing & waiting.

Greeters - Greeters will be placed at the entrance of the Civic Center to welcome our guests and assist them to the appropriate place such as Glitz & Glamour, Shoe Shine, Prom Area, etc.

Chaperone (125) - Each guest will be assigned a chaperone if they do not bring a date. If you like to dress up, dance and have a heart for the special needs community, this one's for you! Just make sure you wear comfortable shoes!

Glitz & Glamour - Assist with applying lip-gloss, eye shadow, blush, glitter in hair, etc.

Shoe Shine - Shine shoes for our male guests.

Photos - Assist the photographer in taking formal and informal pictures throughout the evening. Help in printing the photos & having them ready at the end of the Joy Prom for our guests to take home. It would be helpful if you had your own camera. Must be able to stay the entire time.

Kitchen Crew 1st Shift - 3:30 PM - 5 PM - Assist with the preparing the food.

Kitchen Crew 2nd Shift - 5 PM - 10 PM - Assist with transporting, serving the food and clean up.

Servers - Our guests will be thirsty from all the dancing! Assist our guest by pouring & refilling their drinks, clearing tables, etc.

Water Stations - 9AM -11AM - Prep coolers with ice & bottled water for all volunteer areas. Must have the ability to lift coolers with both ice and water in the coolers.

Water Stations - 2PM -5PM - Refresh coolers with ice & bottled water for all volunteer areas. Prep prom area with water, tea & punch. Must have the ability to lift coolers with both ice and water in the coolers.

Water Stations - 5PM -10PM - There will be a lot of dancing! Mandatory every 20 minute water breaks require the water stations to be adequately stocked at all times. Refill volunteer coolers with ice & bottled water throughout the Joy Prom. Must have the ability to lift coolers with both ice and water in the coolers. Assist in clean up of your areas.

Medical - Must be a licensed nurse or medical provider with current CPR certification.

Bathroom Attendants - Male - Assist the male guests in the bathroom as needed (background check required, WABC nursery background check is satisfactory).

Bathroom Attendants - Female - Assist the female guests in the bathroom as needed (background check required, WABC nursery background check is satisfactory).

Hospitality Room - Provide light refreshments and drinks for caregivers and families.

Volunteer Room - Help care for the volunteers in a separate room during their breaks.

Set Up - Friday, May 13 - Able to follow instructions from team leader regarding transporting and setting up tables & chairs, ect. Must be able to lift heavy objects.

Clean Up Crew - 6PM - 11PM - Assist with the take down of tables & chairs, returning all supplies/items to their original location etc. This includes emptying trash during event at all areas. Must be able to lift heavy objects.

Wherever most needed
