Thank you for your interest in applying to be part of our summer staff! While we love doing after school throughout the school year, summer is a special time for us at Neighborhood Focus - it's a time for students to have fun, make memories, go on adventures, and learn about Jesus (all without the stress of homework or tests!). In order to make summer camp a wonderful experience for the children who attend, we are looking for staff with the following qualities:
- Love kids 🥰
- Have strong communication skills, good time management, and are flexible (while we plan out our camp activities ahead of time, weather and other factors sometimes change plans - flexibility is a must)🙋♀️🙋♂️
- Are excited to lead activities such as sports, crafts, games, STEAM, etc.
- Feel comfortable speaking to students about having a relationship with Jesus and encouraging them in the Word 💛
- Enjoy being outdoors 🌳
As a non-profit organization located along White Horse Road, we primarily work with families in the Berea neighborhood of Greenville. The majority of families we serve are Spanish-speaking, but almost all students who attend programming at Neighborhood Focus speak English. All children in 2nd-12th grade are welcome to apply for our program!

On camp days, we ask all staff to plan to be on site between 7:45 am - 1:30 pm. Once or twice a week, each staff member will be asked to stay until 3:30 pm to oversee late stay. Late stay is reserved for students whose parents are working and do not have the ability to pick up students at 1:00 pm. There may be 1 or 2 field trip days in the summer where students will get back to NF after normal pickup time. Our high school service team students will go on 1 overnight camping trip. We will have these dates to you ahead of training week. Please note, though, that some plans may change due to weather.
After you have completed your application, please look out for an email from our Program Director, Amy Escoe. If we think you would be a good fit for your team, she will email you to set up an interview.
