Help Clean Up Roadside Trash in Hartford!
Due to COVID-19, Green-Up Day has been rescheduled to Saturday, May 30th. Cleaning up trash along town roads is conducive to social distancing. We encourage volunteers to go out at their convenience, but if you go out before May 26th, please store your green-up trash at home until dumpsters are available.
Bags are available in front of the Hartford Town Hall (building entrance parking lot side) and the Quechee Library (building entrance Willard Road side) and will be periodically restocked. Please take only the number of bags you plan to fill. Bags also will be available on Green-Up Day, Saturday May 30th between 8:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. at the Town Hall and Quechee Green.
Dumpsters will be available at the following three locations:

Hartford Town Hall: Tuesday, May 26th – Monday, June 1st.
•
Quechee Green: Tuesday, May 26th – Monday, June 1st.
•
White River Subaru: Friday, May 29th – Monday, June 1st.
Drop-off of Green-Up trash at the Hartford Solid Waste Facility will NOT be available this year.
Guidelines: Green-Up 2020 will be different than past years. Our #1 priority is the safety of volunteers. Please adhere to the following guidelines:

Wear gloves & a face mask.
•
Volunteer with your household.
•
Maintain 6 feet from others.
•
Protect yourself from ticks: tuck your pants into your socks and wear repellent. Check yourself thoroughly from head to toe when you get home.
•
Watch out for poison ivy. Poison ivy will be leafed out and can cause allergic reactions.
