NOMINATION PROCESS for the YDN - Latino/Latinx Leadership Program:
Employers, supervisors, program alumni and community members may nominate potential participants. We recommend that you discuss the requirements and expectations of the program with the potential participant before completing a nomination form. 

WHOM SHOULD YOU NOMINATE?
The ideal YDN - Latinx Leadership Program candidates are energetic, engaging, caring, and committed to making a difference. They understand the importance of social responsibility, ongoing education, and purposeful involvement in the organizations and communities they serve. They are either members of the Latinx community or, recognizing the importance of this demographic to the future of the region, have an interest in learning leadership from a Latinx cultural perspective.*

Nominees must meet the following criteria to be considered:
Committed to personal growth and development
Motivated to be engaged in the community in a leadership capacity
Currently employed in a professional or career position or engaged in sustained
        volunteer activities
Resident of the greater Sacramento region
Completion of at least two years of post-secondary education/trade school/alternative
        training or equivalent experience
Exhibits maturity and emotional intelligence
Demonstrated ability in communication and analytical skills
Committed to attendance at all program activities and to enthusiastic participation
Following graduation from the Program, willing to join a board or commission, or enroll
        in further leadership training
Have the permission and support of their employer for participation

CLOSED: Cohort VI gathering is taking place July 2024 to February 2025.  Gatherings are a mix of in-person and virtual learning community sessions scheduled on 22 calendar dates from 3.5 to 7.5  hours each.
