Apply to be on Staff at Queer Student Resources (QSR)

Join Queer Student Resources (QSR) as a staff member for the 2023-2024 academic year and help make Stanford a place where students of all genders and sexualities can flourish! QSR staff members plan and host community gatherings (unless otherwise noted), hold regular weekly shifts in QSpot (Firetruck House, 2nd Floor), collaborate with other QSR staff, and attend regular staff meetings. All staff positions are paid and are open to graduate and undergraduate students (unless otherwise posted).

Available positions

  • Trans& Coordinator (grad/post student focus)

THESE ARE PAID POSITIONS & WORK STUDY ELIGIBLE! 

(Note: You do not need to have a work study award to work with QSR) 

We are seeking people who:

  • Are excited about building community with other queer and trans students and creating spaces where queer and trans students are centered

  • Are organized, energetic, detail-oriented and adept at community-building

  • Have innovative ideas about how best to welcome new students to campus and help them find their footing

  • Are excited to foster queer connectivity across Stanford 

Time commitment:

  • All QSR positions are expected to be 15 hours.
    • 30-60 min weekly – Meetings with a QSR director to check in, brainstorm, and give updates

    • 1 hour of regular staff meetings

    • 2 hours of Qspot Coverage 

    • 1 hour of administrative work (Timesheets, Opening and closing the space)

    • 10 hours weekly – Social Hours and programmatic work

Grad/Postdoc Trans& Coordinator (1 People)
  • The Grad/Postdoc Trans& Coordinator creates experiences to help trans and gender non-binary graduate/post doc  students navigate Stanford and connect students with available resources. We’re seeking people who:

    • Must be a Graduate Student 

    • Are enthusiastic about making Stanford a place where students of all genders and sexualities can flourish

    • Have an understanding of trans communities on campus and the particular needs and experiences of trans and non-binary graduate/post doc students 

    • Are organized, energetic, detail-oriented and adept at community-building

    • Are skilled at facilitating/hosting monthly trans& gatherings at QSpot.

    • Can help field inquiries from students and connect them to resources.
