My Waterloo Days is a community event put on by volunteers. Planning the event starts as soon as the previous year ends. We are looking for people to help us make 2022 the best yet!! You can sign up to: be a part of the planning committee, chair a specific event of My Waterloo Days, or be on one of the subcommittees to help plan a specific event.

My Waterloo Days will be held June 6-12, 2022 and it will be our 40th Anniversary. The theme is "We Are Waterloo" a celebration of history, diversity and progress. We would love to have your help and input!

Being a part of planning this event requires time and commitment - monthly meetings September through April, then weekly meetings May through the event. It is expected that the committee be present at the event on June 10 & 11.

Logistics (event layout, event needs, coordinating set up, coordinate tear down, coordinate volunteer needs for event maintenance, etc.

Parade (coordination, marketing, and running of event)

Marketing (bids for TV and radio marketing, mobile app, social media, signage, print marketing)

Merchandise (what to sell and coordination a merchandise booth)

Sponsorship (secure sponsorships, coordinate sponsor recognition, etc.)

Treasury (event budget, process for tracking money during event, on site during event to manage the money)

Volunteers (work with each area to determine volunteer needs, recruit volunteers, run volunteer sign up, coordinate volunteer check in, volunteer thank you party)

Workshops (2022 will be a celebration of history, diversity, and progress and we would like to offer educational workshops celebrating this)

Youth Talent Show (coordination, marketing, and running of event)
