THE HOUSE OF FUNK (Saturdays from 1-4pm):
Dive into the groove with "The House of Funk," the latest electrifying seasonal show from House of Rock ICT! Prepare to embark on a soul-stirring journey through the heart of funk, featuring the groundbreaking sounds of legends like Dazz Band, Con Funk Shun, Lakeside, Sly and the Family Stone, James Brown, Parliament Funkadelic, Cameo, and more. From the gritty grooves to the psychedelic jams, experience the music that defined a generation and continues to inspire.
We're calling all young musicians to bring this vibrant genre to life! Whether you sing, strum the guitar, lay down the bass lines, tickle the ivories on piano, keep the beat on drums, or add some brass flair with trumpets and saxophones, The House of Funk needs your talent. Join us as we recreate the magic of classic funk bands and forge new grooves of our own.
Spaces are limited, so get funky with us and ensure your spot in what promises to be the most talked-about musical event of the season!
The cost is $500, split into four payments of $125, due at the first of each month.
This program does not teach kids how to play instruments. Participants need to be at a basic level of proficiency in order to participate in the program. Additional private lessons are encouraged, but not required. If you are wondering if your child is ready for House of Rock, feel free to contact us!
