This breastfeeding class will cover the importance of breastfeeding, steps for success, how breastfeeding works, starting off right & positions, when to feed baby, latching, stages of milk, is baby getting enough, and expressing milk.
We will build on the above topics and the following topics, latching challenges, supply challenges, clogged ducts, mastitis & thrush, tongue ties, hand expression and pumping, bottle feeding, formula, supplies for breastfeeding, self care, introducing solids and weaning.
You should wear comfortable clothes and feel free to bring a snack and a drink.
In the event that the class needs to be rescheduled due to your instructor needing to attend the birth of a doula client, you will be notified as soon as possible of the new class date. If you cannot attend the new class date then a refund will be issued. If you choose not to attend for any reason then no refund will be issued. Class size is limited. If a class is rescheduled, every effort will be made to choose a date and time that works for the majority of attendees.
Please check your email for an invoice that needs to be paid at least one week before our class. This form AND payment need to be completed to reserve a space in the class. The fee for this class is $275 and includes your workbook. Partners are encouraged to attend for no additional cost.
