The Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) has just approved MMEA as an official Professional Development Point (PDP) Provider for the next three years! We are excited to build more value into your MMEA membership and with the All-State Professional Development Conference. In order to successfully receive PDP's, you MUST accumulate a minimum of 10 hours of sessions. If you participate in more than 10 hours of sessions you will get 1 additional PDP for each additional hour. If you participate in less than 10 hours, you will receive a certificate for "Professional Hours" which you can then use to bundle with other pd focusing on music that you attend in the future to make the 10-hour threshold required by DESE.
This form must be filled out by April 1st, 2023. You will receive a signed digital pdp certificate to the email address you have designated below by April 15th, 2023.
A copy of your submission will be sent to the email address you designate below. You will receive an email with a link for going back into the google form so that you can edit the submission throughout your time at the conference.
Other Notes:
- Observing the All-State ensemble rehearsals will count towards your pd hours! Please scroll down to the last questions in the google form to reflect on your rehearsal observations.
- The General Membership Meeting does not count for PDP's.
- MMEA reserves the right to ask you to edit your submission if your reflections are not sufficient.
- MMEA will not keep copies of your certificates. Please make sure to download and print your certificates.
