Welcome, and thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer Guide for this year's Scholars and Guides program!
Guides play a vital role in supporting Scholars by providing mentorship, guidance, and professional networking opportunities before and during the conference. As a Guide, you’ll help Scholars navigate the Ruby and Rails community and maximize their conference experience.
What Guides Do:
We’re looking for Guides who are familiar with the Ruby and/or Rails community and who can offer valuable insights to new Rubyists. As a Guide, you will:
- Mentor Scholars through their mini-projects, offering guidance and support.
- Recommend conference talks that align with your Scholar’s interests and skill levels.
- Introduce your Scholar to influential developers who can help them grow in their area of interest.
- Share feedback and advice on building a career in the Ruby/Rails world.
- Attend 3 mandatory meet-ups: Speakers & Scholars Reception, Pre-conference meeting (Zoom), & Post-conference Lunchtime Retro (on-site)
