SafeFutures Summer Youth Employment Application 

It's that time of year again - the start of our "SUMMER YOUTH EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM." SafeFutures Youth Center is thrilled to offer 20 summer jobs to young people in the community.  At SafeFutures, we're committed to helping our youth prepare for future employment and providing job opportunities as well.

 During the SafeFutures Youth Employment Program, students will learn about their community and how they can contribute to making it great. Each day, students will participate in workshops, field trips, career expos and activities that teach them valuable life skills to prepare them for early adulthood and the upcoming school year.  We're proud to offer this program and are excited to see our youth grow and succeed. 

Summer Youth Employment Program Information:

  • Dates: July 3rd - August 14th ( 6 weeks ) 
  • Days: Monday - Thursday 
  • Time: 12:00-6:00pm (schedule subject to change) 
  • Stipend of $1,200 upon successful completion 

Eligibility Requirements: 

  • Eligible Youth Grade: Entering 9th graders - 12th graders 
  • If selected, you must provide a copy of your social security card, complete a W-9 form, and sign the SFYC Services Agreement and Release Form, also if you're selected you have (2) business days to accept this position. 
Program Requirements:
  • Must be able to show up every day ( 1 personal day allowed. Unapproved absence may result in loss of internship) 
  • Must fully commit to the schedule and show up ON TIME.
  • Be willing to LEARN and EXPLORE NEW THINGS (participation in all activities is required).
  • Must be able to participate in an in-person orientation on July 3rd, 2025 from 5-6pm with at least one parent/guardian.

2. In your opinion, what are the most important skills or qualities a young person should possess to succeed in your workforce? How do you plan to develop or enhance these skills during your participation in our youth employment program? 

3. Imagine your five years from now. What does your ideal career path look like, and how do you envision our youth employment program helping you to achieve your goals? What steps do you plan to take to reach that vision?
