Physics in an Astronomy Context
Please complete this form to register for one or more sessions of the "Physics in an Astronomy Context" program, a series of workshops offered by the AAPT team of the NASA Heliophysics Education Activation Team.

These workshops are intended for secondary- and tertiary-level TEACHERS who teach in formal classroom contexts. (Other educators are also welcome if the content we cover is appropriate to your teaching context!)

This workshop will be held via Zoom, typically on one Saturday of each month during the U.S. academic year from 1-2:30 PM ET (Washington, DC time). An invitation with a URL to join will be sent to registrants no later than 24 hours before before each session. Participants should have a working computer camera and microphone.

Each workshop session will provide scientific background (a "mini" presentation on the relevant astronomy), an opportunity to work through student materials, and a chance to connect with like-minded educators. Unless noted otherwise, these activities are appropriate for introductory physics (middle school, high school, college, intro university).

There is no cost to attend these sessions! Learn more about the AAPT NASA HEAT project at https://aapt.org/Resources/NASA_HEAT.cfm and the NASA HEAT project in general at https://solarsystem.nasa.gov/heat/home/
