Foodwise Teens Application Fall 2022
ABOUT: Foodwise Teens is a paid, after school job training program for students at John O'Connell HS and Mission HS. In this program, you'll learn all about food while building job skills and working with students from other grades and schools.

WHEN: 8 weeks, October 3 - December 3, 2022 (no trainings during Fall Break)

John O'Connell - Trainings from 2-4:30pm on Wednesdays
Mission High - Trainings from 3-5:30p on Thursdays

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN:
- Growing food
- Cooking food
- Food justice
- Taking care of the earth and ourselves
- Public speaking
- Customer service
- Community building

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Participate in 10 after school trainings
- Complete 3 independent assignments
- Work 2  in-person farmer’s market days (Saturdays)

EARN A STIPEND UP TO $550:
 You’ll be paid via check after the program ends for the work you complete

DEADLINE: If you are interested in applying, please fill out and submit out the this form BY 10:00 AM ON MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 12. We will be hosting in person interviews the Week of September 12th and will make final decisions on MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 19.

We will finalize the roster and contact you on Monday, September 19 to let you know if you are in the program. The program will begin that week.
