About Rebekah's Circle Rebekah's Circle shares Christ's unconditional love through accompaniment and cultivating relationships, enjoying a catered dinner, and sharing meaningful conversation.
Rebekah's Circle was introduced in 2019 as a new initiative investing in young adults.
How we do this...For a series of six Tuesday evenings, trained mentors, UPCaM's Executive Director and college student participants will gather as Rebekah's Circle #3 to be community with and for each other. Each Tuesday will involve sharing: a meal together, prayer, a reflection about a women of the Bible, featured guest's presentation and time for fellowship/discussion on the themes of health, wellness, empowerment, and capacity-building. This is an intergenerational initiative designed for young women, 16 through 35 years of age living in Cuyahoga County, and enrolled in classes at Tri-C Metro Campus and/or Cleveland State University. Our vision is to create an environment and experience where young women will connect with peers and mentors and together all involved will experience how a safe, empathetic, compassionate Christian Community can be empowering, and how mentorship, shared knowledge, and social capital can begin and/or strengthen relationships with peers, family members and/or the community with greater social agency.
Rebekah's Circle is made possible because of many supporters, partners and/or investors. In the recent past, these groups helps kick-start our work: Tri-C Metro Campus's Women in Transition, Living Waters, the student organization at Tri-C Metro Campus, Trinity Cathedral, Fairmount Presbyterian Women's Association, The Northeastern Ohio Synod (NEOS) of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), NEOS Hunger Taskforce.
