AP Calculus AB/BC Intent Form 2024-2025

These two yearlong courses are designed to be equivalent to one and a half or two semesters of college level introductory calculus.  They include a rigorous and thorough study of the theory of calculus. Emphasis will be placed on graphic, numeric, and algebraic approaches to all problems. The use of a graphing calculator is an integral part of either course. The ability to apply mathematical concepts learned in previous courses is essential for success in calculus. Students will be required to demonstrate maturity, responsibility, and self-confidence, as well as critical thinking skills that allow them to produce results both independently and cooperatively. They will be expected to complete daily and long-term assignments. The courses are designed for the math student who enjoys being challenged.
