These bursaries are intended to help a UK based young person attend the workshop in full. Applications should be submitted where you have no other way of attending the event so that we can support those most in need. Our bursaries are very limited and we don't want cost to be a barrier to attendance. They will support someone travelling from the outskirts of London or 3 hours away alike. You may apply either way.
It is only open to UK based young people aged 14-25 at the time of the event.
We will reimburse the agreed cost of travel - usually only a return (super)off-peak train from near your home to London Underground Zone 1 (or 2 advance singles where cheaper). This will be done via Online Transfer to your nominated bank account within 24 hours of the event. However, if you will struggle buying the ticket in advance, we may be able to help by booking it for you. All travel should be made with a 16-25 or similar railcard that you should possess, please discuss with us if you do not have one for use. Usually you will need to arrive by around 12.20pm to London at the latest, and your train out of London itself may not be until 7pm.
A further condition of receiving the bursary is that you provide a blog about your experience and what you found out from the day on our website
voicemag.uk to be published by 8pm on Thursday 24th October. This can be emailed to us if you do not want to create a free account.
