The USSU Food Centre address food insecurity on campus by providing a variety of programs. Volunteers primarily help with the Food Centre's Fresh Market. The Fresh Market is hosted in partnership with CHEP and provides an accessible and affordable way for student to access produce, spices, and other dry goods on campus. Starting late September, The Fresh Market will run Tuesday-Friday 10:30am-4:30pm, with volunteers being able to sign up for as many or as few a half hour shifts as they would like.

The Food Centre also organizes Trick or Eat, a Halloween event that collects food and monetary donations for the Saskatoon Food Bank. Volunteers may also have opportunities to assist with the emergency food hamper programs run through the Food Centre.
