Sly Park Virtual Science Programs

With COVID we understand there have been many hurdles for schools to participate in Outdoor Environmental Science Education. At Sly Park we have diversified our program offerings to accommodate for the safety and financial challenges many of the schools are facing.
Virtual Programs we offer:
Virtual Science Camp- 5-day experience where students learn how to be citizen scientists, capable of tapping into their natural scientist skills to better understand, take care of and advocate for their local environment. Daily lessons of 1.5 to 2 hours include synchronous and asynchronous components designed and sequenced to support students' academic, social and emotional learning; $1500 per class.
Virtual Science Camp/Site-Lead Instruction- 4-day experience where students learn how to be citizen scientists, capable of tapping into their natural scientist skills to better understand, take care of and advocate for their local environment. Daily lessons of 1.5 to 2 hours include synchronous and asynchronous components designed and sequenced to support students' academic, social and emotional learning. Additionally there will be one day of in-person, hands-on instruction by a Sly Park Teacher; $2000 per class. (El Dorado, Sacramento, and Yolo Counties only)
Distance Learning Lessons- provide 5th-6th grade classrooms with a daily NGSS Science lesson. The lessons will range from 45-50 minutes and can support the current unit of study the classroom teacher is covering. Lesson topics include Matter Movement, Forest Ecology, Solar/Lunar, and Earth Spheres; $575 per class.
