Seventh Grade Camp Volunteer Form (September 14-18, 2020)
Parent volunteers make camp possible and we are excited to have you out to camp next fall.  There are may different ways that you can help at camp.  Please fill out the form below and select the option that you wish to volunteer for.  In May, I will send out additional information regarding your specific volunteer placement.  If you have questions before May, please e-mail me at mccamp@dexterschools.org.  Thanks for volunteering!

If you are volunteering to be an overnight camp chaperone, do you want to be placed with the student listed above? *
Please note, as a day/evening volunteer, I cannot guarantee you will be placed with your student.
Overnight Chaperone
As an overnight chaperone, you will spend your time at camp with a group of 10-12 students.  You will go to classes with them, sit with them at meals and sleep in a cabin with them.  As an overnight chaperone you will be placed with your child, but if you would prefer you can come out to camp and be in a different cabin than your child.  If you are a female chaperone with a boy coming out to camp or a male chaperone with a girl coming out to camp, we can arrange it so you will travel with your student during the day and eat all meals with your student.  This position typically fills up fast so sign up early!
Bus Volunteer
Monday Bus Volunteers are responsible for riding the bus to camp with the students and back to Mill Creek on the empty busses.  While on the bus with the students, the bus chaperones are responsible for making sure the students are adhering to all of the bus rules. To be a Monday bus volunteer, please arrive at Mill Creek by 9:00am and you will return back to Mill Creek by approximately 12:30pm. Friday Bus Volunteers are responsible for riding to camp on an empty bus and back to Mill Creek with the students.  While on the bus with the students, the bus chaperones are responsible for making sure the students are adhering to all of the bus rules. To be a Friday bus volunteer, plan on arriving at by 11:00am and you will return back to Mill Creek by approximately 2:30pm.
Luggage Loading Volunteer
Monday Luggage Loading volunteers are responsible for helping the students organize their luggage and load it onto the luggage truck.  Hopefully, the truck will be at Mill Creek early enough for the students to load most of the luggage themselves.  As a luggage loader, you will need to arrive at Mill Creek by 7:45am.  Friday Luggage Loading volunteers are responsible for helping unload the luggage from the truck for the students to take home with them.  As a luggage loader, you will need to arrive at Mill Creek by 11:30.
Monday Morning Chaperone
Monday morning, September 14, students will be arriving at Mill Creek between 7:45am to 8:30am.  You will be responsible for supervising one classroom of students as they wait for the bus to arrive. As a Monday Morning Chaperone you will need to arrive at Mill Creek on Monday morning at 7:45am.  When you check in, you will be given a room assignment and a list of activities that you can do with the students in your classroom.  Please plan on staying at Mill Creek until all of the students have loaded the busses at approximately 9:30am.
