Waverley Tennis is pleased to announce that it will be hosting the 'Daphne Fancutt Shield' in 2023 and you are invited to participate by  applying to represent the NSJTA.
 
INVITATION & DATES:
 
The Daphne Fancutt Shield' is to be held on Saturday, 14th January, 2022, and Sunday, 15th January, 2023, at the Robinson Reserve Tennis Centre in Frawley Road, Doveton (Melway Ref. 91 A10).  
A fully qualified Sports Trainer will be engaged to be in attendance during both days of the Carnival.
 
STARTING TIME & FRIDAY PRACTICE SESSION:
 
If selected, Players will be required to arrive at the Robinson Reserve Tennis Centre by 8.00am on the Saturday morning for the Opening Ceremony and then be prepared to play shortly thereafter.  
 
TEAM & COMPETITION FORMAT & AGE GROUPS:
 
Each team shall consist of ten (10) players; five (5) boys and five (5) girls, the ages being:-
• One (1) boy and one (1) girl - 18 years and under
• Two (2) boys and two (2) girls - 16 years and under
• Two (2) boys and two (2) girls - 14 years and under
• The Age Groupings are determined as the ages of the players as at 31 January, 2023.

Depending on team numbers, the proposed format will be that of a Round Robin, with all teams to play each other during the Carnival in singles and doubles.  The doubles will be mixed doubles.

A full canteen service will be in operation at the Robinson Reserve Tennis Centre throughout the duration of the Carnival.  All participating players and spectators are encouraged to avail themselves of the canteen service.
