Lab environments carry certain risks. In order to minimize that risk, you must agree to certain safety requirements, such as wearing closed-toe shoes, clothing that covers at least your upper legs down to your knees, avoiding tank-tops, jewelry, overly loose clothing, bringing food or drink into the labs, etc.
