Science Slam Application - November 2021

Welcome to Science Slam!

This application is to compete in a virtual Science Slam on Thursday, November 25, 2021 from 7-9pm EST (4pm-6pm PST)!

Each participant will be given 5 minutes to present on a science topic, and props are welcome (and encouraged)! At the end of the event, each participant will receive a score from our judges, a mix of specialists in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)-related fields and communication specialists. Presenters will be judged on three criteria: 1) Scientific content, 2) Communication skills, and 3) Audience engagement.

You are welcome to present live or create a prerecorded video of your slam (to be sent by Sunday, November 21, 2021 by 5pm EST).

In order to be considered as a presenter for Science Slam Canada, please complete this application by November 5, 2021. Applicants will be notified by November 8 if they are presenting. We look forward to having you!
