Can you be a Christmas Angel?

UUFA will again participate in the Department of Family and Children's Services (DFCS) gift program for needy children. Each holiday season many children in foster care receive few, if any, gifts over the holidays. Due to the generosity of its members and friends, UUFA has successfully participated in this program for over 20 years.

If you are able and would like to sponsor a child or children, respond below.  The deadline to commit to sponsorship is October 30.

Participants will receive a form in early November with the child’s first name, a number (DFCS originates and tracks), along with a designated caseworker’s name.

Please note that special requests such as for the age or gender of the child(ren) cannot always be accommodated. We will try to match you as best as we can.

The deadline to get gifts to Connie Bruce is November 25. This year, Connie has graciously volunteered to pick up your gifts in the Athens area. You may also drop gifts off at UUFA Wednesdays from 5-6 p.m. during the weekly can/diaper donation collection.

Please make sure the form you are sent with the child’s name and caseworker’s name is securely affixed to the gift bag or other container of items.  Please DO NOT WRAP presents.
