Professional Resume

Your resume is an important part of the application as it outlines your experience as a school counselor and leader.  

Make sure to list your leadership experiences. You are encouraged to capture both formal and informal leadership roles in your resume.

Examples may include experiences such as presenting at conferences, serving as department lead, teaching a course related to school counseling, ACP Facilitator, PBIS Coordinator, Homeless Liaison, or previous WSCA involvement. Committment to Performance Agreement

A requirement to be considered for the WSCA Board of Directors is a Committment to Performance agreement that is signed by your supervisor that has the authority to grant you permission to participate in board activities during the school day.

Please note that this form must be resubmitted in the event you change school counseling positions.

Board of Director Requirements & Expectations

If elected, you must agree to the following:

→ Maintain a WSCA membership in good standing at your own expense.

→ Maintain an ASCA Professional Membership at your own expense.

→ Attend the WSCA Board meetings and events outlined below in addition to other meetings that may be requested by the board. Attendance at Board meetings and events is expected to be similar to those below throughout the three year term.

→ Attend committee meetings, which typically occur between regularly scheduled full board meetings

→ Contribute to WSCALink publication by writing a short “board message” 1-2 times per year

If elected to the Board, I agree to attend the required WSCA Board functions and complete the duties outlined above. *
