What is the best time of day to contact you if a phone call is needed? *
I have read the Spanish 1 Course Syllabus with my student. *
We understand that my student will learn and practice the Spanish language in and outside of class on a daily basis in order to become a Spanish speaker.  *
Assessment Criteria & Grading Policy:

We understand that after learning and practicing, my student will be graded on how well they can listen, read, speak and write in Spanish.
*
Required
Late Work & Retake Policy:

We understand that my student can go through the "Request to Retest" process when they feel they need to make more progress with a skill and/or they earned a grade on an evidence they don't like. They must do this within two weeks of getting the original graded evidence passed back to them.
*
Late Work & Retake Policy:

We understand that my student's practice (i.e. homework assignments) need to be completed before they can retake an evidence.
*
Office Hours:

We understand that help is available outside of Spanish class each week after school on one day in during ACP on two days (Tuesdays/Thursdays). The day Sra. Moore is available after school may change from week to week, and it will be posted on the whiteboard in the classroom on Mondays as well as on the Google Calendar found on the class website.
*
Medical Absence Expectations:

We understand that if my student is out for a medical absence, they must go to the class website (www.senoramoore.com) and locate the materials for the day(s) they were out. They should attempt to go through the activities on their own, and then go in for help with Sra. Moore when they are back in school so they do not fall behind.
*
Classroom Expectations (Phones):

We understand that phones may be put on a charger (provided by Sra. Moore), or in their mesh/see through backpacks, or their pockets, or not brought to class. It is difficult to learn a language when listening to conflicting sounds or taking in conflicting messages. Brain breaks will be provided during class for my student, and they may look at their phone at that time. If my student has a need to use their phone during the other parts of class for an emergency use, we understand that they should talk with Sra. Moore and explain the situation.
*
Classroom Expectations (Communication)

We understand that Sra. Moore will respond to voicemails and emails within 24 hours. Emails will be sent between 7:30-3:30 p.m. consistently. If you or your student needs a reply outside of that time frame, sending a message via the Remind app is the best way.
*
Positive Feedback & Classroom Community Norms:

We also understand that my student's classroom is in the process of developing their classroom norms as a community. They will be completing a separate form to commit to those shared values so that we can all grow and make progress with the Spanish language as a team.

Please consider sharing your insights as the young adult's parent/guardian/family member/support person.

What would you like me to know about your young adult? Is there any information that would be beneficial for me to know as their educator and that would help me to help them thrive in our classroom and/or at Reagan in general?

Thank you, in advance, for sharing your thoughts and the opportunity to teach your young adult.
