Please join the Wisconsin Maritime Museum on June 1st at 6:30pm for our free Think & Drink series presentation "The Belles of Baseball: Racine's Champion AAGPBL Team" with in-person speaker Kari DeBerg, Director of Education at the Racine Heritage Museum. The featured drink of the night will be Home Run Hooch.

In 1943, Philip K. Wrigley, owner of Wrigley Field and the Chicago Cubs, created the All American Girls Professional Baseball League, starting with four teams across the Midwest. The Racine Belles were one of these original four, which later grew to 12 teams. Learn about these pioneers in womens' athletics who eventually inspired the story of the major motion picture "A League of Their Own."
