The David Brearley Scholars’ Academy is a program that serves the top 8-10% achieving students in each grade, 7-12. Participants enroll in all honors and advanced placement level classes, participate in off-site learning experiences, pursue an area of specialization that culminates in a Senior Year mentorship and graduate with at least 18 college credits and 80 hours of service learning.

Students that are both Kenilworth residents and members of the Choice program in grades 6-8 are able to apply for the Scholars' Academy. Applicants residing outside the town of Kenilworth must also complete a Choice application (Parts 1 and 2) and located on the district's website under the Parent Resources Tab: https://www.kenilworthschools.com/parent_resources/interdistrict_choice_program/application_part_1_-_22-23_required.

The Scholars' Academy application deadline is December 1, 2021. Consideration for acceptance is dependent upon a completed application which includes the student's final report card from the 2020-2021 school year and marking period 1 grades from this school year (Note: If your first marking period is not complete by December 3rd, submit your current grades as of December 1st). Eligible applicants will be contacted of the time for the Kenilworth Scholars' Academy exam which will take place on Saturday, December 4, 2021.
