The Ideal slaughter site
Nice flat grassy area to park and work within 40ft of the pen.  Gravel works.  Concrete is the most difficult to work on.
Access to a working hose
Access to a running tractor large enough to move the animal to kill.
A place or garbage bags to deposit the guts and hide
Guts and Hides
We do not take guts and hides
We are farmers.  Due to bio-security concerns we do not take guts and cost of rendering.  We are happy to help you deposit the items in a hole.  We can also help you bag up the items to put in the garbage.  If you are unable to take the guts and hides we will take them at a charge of $60 cash per animal at the time of slaughter.
We only work with farmers who want to make money
Farming is not easy.  We try to help our farmers support their families and lives.  If you do not want to make money or are a martyr please use another butcher.  We try to reserve our time for those individuals who are trying to make money farming.
Conduct of customers
Our services are transparent and easy to follow.  We are proud of our work. Customers are welcome to come and watch while we slaughter and cut their animals.  We do our best to follow orders submitted.  Unfortunately accidents happen.  In addition animals may have defects due to injury or birth that may not allow us to follow the instructions given.
Farming and processing  the animals is a labor of love.  We don't make a lot of money but we love our lives and our customers.  At the end of the day we expect to be treated with respect.  We ask that farmers talk to their customers and remind them that their continued use of our services depends on their conduct during the cutting process.  If people get nasty they will not be serviced by Marzolf Meats in the future.

Are they in an enclosure,  paddock or trailer?  It helps if the farmer is able to put the animal to slaughter in an stall or paddock.  Should the worst happen and we miss we have a chance to make up the shot before the animal runs off and causes damage. *
