Maple PTA: Petition to Keep Students Safe on Election Days

Maple PTA wants to ensure that students are not present in the building when voting is taking place. The building is locked and secured on all other school days, and leaving it unlocked and vulnerable for primary election days does a disservice to all of the efforts our staff has put in place to ensure school safety.

We will collect signatures of any concerned Maple parents, as well as concerned community members, to provide to the board of education for review. We hope this will prompt the board to adopt a policy to ensure that either Maple is no longer used as a polling location, or if it is, that students are not in the building on election days and the classes are cancelled.

By submitting your name and address, you join the Maple PTA in encouraging the North Olmsted City School District to take additional steps to ensure student safety at Maple Intermediate, by ensuring that students are not in the building during election hours.
