The Department of Tourism and Small Enterprise Development Agency (SEDA) are committed to accelerate the recovery of the hospitality sector through the Food Service Incubation Programme. Chefs, Sommeliers and Baristas operating small businesses are invited to apply to a 12-month enterprise development and technology support programme carefully curated to advance their businesses.
Interested applicants must meet the following criteria:
- South African citizenship
- Youth 18-35 years old
- Graduated from a recognised food service institution as a chef
- Trained as a barista or a sommelier
- Have a registered revenue generating business
- At least 18 months in operation at the time of application
- Must be operating a food and beverage-based business
Selected applicants must:
- Have access to a computer device and reliable internet connection
- Have a passion to lead a successful and profitable business
- Be literate and conversant in English
- Commit at least 2 days a week to the programme
Targeted locations (Province): Eastern Cape, Western Cape, Northern Cape, Free State, Limpopo, North West, Mpumalanga, KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng.
Special preference given to women and differently abled people.
