Kia ora Kawerau Putauaki School whānau,

The purpose of this survey is to confirm how many students we will need to cater for at COVID-19 Alert Level 3, and how many learners need more hard copy work.

As Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has said,  the key message for Alert Level 3 is to KEEP YOUR CHILDREN AT HOME AND ENGAGE IN DISTANCE LEARNING.

School is not open for classes, but we will be be available to look after children of people who have to go to work and have no other option for child care.  All students will be provided with the same online, or hard pack learning.  The children that need to come to school will be supervised by a mixture of teaching and support staff.

Parents and caregivers should ONLY SEND CHILDREN TO SCHOOL IF ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY. (This would include if you are an ESSENTIAL SERVICE WORKER  or there is NO-ONE ELSE to look after your child at home.)

Until schools are fully re-open, this needs to be a definite decision and not something that happens day-to-day.

We appreciate that this is another challenging and unprecedented season, but keeping students, staff and whānau safe is our highest priority.

Please complete this information for each family/whanau.

This form needs to be completed by 3:00 pm on Monday 30th August.
