Thank you for your interest in joining us for leftist Wilderness First Aid! We're Faultline Ensemble, a group of artists and health workers creating projects that foster community resilience. You can learn more about us here:
https://www.faultlineensemble.org. This course is intended to be welcoming to folks of color, queers and street medics. It's taught by a white Solo instructor - you can read more about her work at
https://www.medicmermaid.com/home.
The course dates are:
Saturday, September 2nd, 9:30am-5:30pm
Sunday, September 3rd, 9:30am-5:30pm
More info on the Solo WFA curriculum is here: https://soloschools.com/training-information/
We'll be gathering on a hillside in southern VT about 40 minutes outside Brattleboro by dirt road. Rustic camping is available onsite Saturday night. The course will be outdoors, with some options for moving indoors with all participants' consent if the weather gets terrible. We will ask participants to rapid test for covid each morning.
Curriculum will follow the Solo WFA structure, with an option to recertify a WFR for any WFRs initially trained by Solo (the NOLS/WMA is different enough that we can't recertify NOLS/WMA WFRs). You can read more about the curriculum here: https://soloschools.com/training-information/
You'll be fully registered when you've 1) filled out this form and 2) sent payment.
