2HC participation will require a significant time investment over a period of 10 months: 

 - 90-120 minutes of learning/interaction each week

 - additional time for personal reflection and practice each month

 - participation in three retreats. Retreat 2 (May 28-30, 2026) and Retreat 3 (October 29-31, 2026) will be online. (See the next question for your choice of an in-person or a virtual Retreat 1). For virtual retreats, we are online for 3-4 hours each day with breaks, interactive learning and small group engagement. Day 2 of each retreat is also set aside for a Day of Silence that cohort members take in their own location. We encourage getting away to a dedicated retreat location away from distractions and regular commitments.

 - monthly spiritual direction and coaching.

Please indicate your choice for participation in Retreat 1. 

A) Our in-person Retreat 1 (including Station 1 learning) will start on Sunday, January 25, 2026 at 7 p.m. Departure will be on Friday, January 30, 2026, in the morning. Our retreat will be in La Quinta, California. (Participants are encouraged to fly to nearby Palm Springs airport, but more options might be available for flights to San Diego, LAX, Phoenix or Las Vegas - and travel by car to La Quinta with 2HC facilitators. At your 2HC interview, you can talk with us about your best options). 

B) Our virtual retreat will be on January 8-10, 2026, following the same format as virtual retreats 2 and 3.

Your financial investment is also needed. 2HC pays our spiritual directors, coaches and facilitators and covers ongoing operational costs and program development costs. We encourage each participant to raise funds through donor networks, supporting churches and mission organization. 2HC can help by providing you with a letter to send to ministry partners inviting their financial participation. Request information at your interview. Cost for participation in 2HC is USD $3,500 for tuition, monthly spiritual direction and coaching. Costs for our in-person Retreat 1 food and lodging will be $500 plus the cost of airfare to and from the Retreat. Limited scholarship funds may be available.
