Parent State of Commitment: I support my student auditioning for Jazz Ensemble, including their participation in all performances/concerts throughout the school year and tour (Tour cost $550 and cost for personal items to maintain instrument, Formal Concert Uniform (uniform included in tuition). I will assist my student in keeping track of the calendar so that my student reports to performances/concerts on time and in the proper attire and will email Jennifer Freeman two weeks in advance of any non-emergent concert absences. I understand that Jazz Ensemble has a co-enrollment requirement--instrumentalists must enroll in band or orchestra as appropriate, vocalists in choir. Student Statement of Commitment: Being in Jazz Ensemble means you will represent VCHS to the community. You will do your best to live your life in such a way that represents Jesus well. You will strive for musical excellence as demonstrated in your musical growth and musicianship. You will serve as a leader in the Jazz Ensemble and among the Instrumental  Ensembles. You will be a musical supporter of the Jazz Ensemble and the Instrumental Ensembles with your friends and the community. You will keep a calendar of performance/concert events so that you are at performances/concerts on time and in the proper attire. You will work to keep up your grades so that you remain eligible for extra-curricular activities. You will participate in fundraisers, remembering, that even if you can fully fund your own trip/uniform, the Jazz Ensemble is a team and fundraising supports the group. You understand that Jazz Ensemble has a co-enrollment requirement--instrumentalists must enroll in band or orchestra as appropriate, vocalists in choir.
